BiographyHistory

Born in Christchurch, New Zealand, Bill Moloney settled in Australia in the 1930s, became a newspaper reporter, public relations officer, and columnist, before spending ten years writing the script for Movietone News. From 1946-1950, he wrote 3000 radio serials, including the I Love a Mystery series, Meet Mr. Mystery, and Officer Crosby episodes. After moving to Cairns, he managed Far Northern Theatres, where he was also involved with the Good Neighbour Council. He is the author of Memoirs of an Abominable Showman (1968).
