BiographyHistory

Samuel Lover was an Irish poet and novelist whose poetry sometimes appeared in nineteenth century Australian newspapers, including the Commercial Journal and Advertiser, Geelong Advertiser and Squatters' Advocate, the Queenslander and the Victorian School Papers. Additionally, some of Lover's plays were produced in the Australian colonies in the nineteenth century.
