BiographyHistory

Not long after her first marriage (as Alice Carr-Tibbits), Warren went to live in Australia, where she raised children - two sons, one daughter - studied singing in Adelaide and wrote short stories and articles for Australian magazines. Her second husband was William John 'Billy' Warren. After moving to New Zealand she studied at Elam Art School, Auckland. She exhibited paintings in Auckland 1940-1941 and joined the literary staff of Sun Newspapers, later becoming Lady Editor and columnist, as 'Dolores', of the New Zealand Observer.
