BiographyHistory

Herbert M. Caldwell started his publishing company in New York as a reprint house. The firm published illustrated books in attractive bindings, including many children's titles. It was taken over by Dana Estes and Company in 1910, and finally ceased publishing when sold to the Page Company in 1914.
