BiographyHistory

Richard Bankin was transported in 1814 on the Marquis of Wellington, arriving in New South Wales the following year. By 1822 Bankin had gained his ticket of leave and was working on land at Richmond. He later sought permission for his family to join him. His wife died en route, but his two daughters arrived in the colony in 1828.
