BiographyHistory

Karen Eberhardt was born in Santa Rosa, California and travelled throughout Europe and America before coming to Australia to study in the 1960s. She lived in Melbourne, Hobart, then Sydney. She left Australia in 1969 and lived in India for a short time. Since the 1970s she has had dual nationality (American-British)and moved to England permanently in 1999. In 2002 she published The Message in conjunction with British poet, Jay Ramsay. She now writes as Karen Eberhardt-Shelton.
