BiographyHistory

Scriptwriter and film director.

In 2018, it was announced that Cate Shortland would make her Hollywood debut with a work in the Marvel Comics Universe (MCU), Black Widow, featuring Scarlet Johansson. According to newspaper reports, other contenders for the job were Amma Asante (Belle), Kimberly Peirce (Boys Don't Cry), and Maggie Betts (Novitiate).
