BiographyHistory

A Pulitzer prize-winning American novelist. Roth gained literary fame with the 1959 collection Goodbye Columbus which won the National Book Award in 1960. His best-selling novel Portnoy's Complaint was banned in Australia in 1969. He is included in AustLit because this work appears in the Banned in Australia subset.
