BiographyHistory

'The City Fringe is an event for which will celebrate Brisbane's fringes - geographically, demographically and culturally. It will link in one densely programmed, diverse and city-wide celebration - utilising the multiple independent, developmental, experimental and innovative endeavours of Brisbane's artists, residents, arts agencies and communities. A Brisbane City Council initiative, the festival will be a non-curated, open platform for the presentation of arts and cultural work of the people of Brisbane. Brisbane's inaugural two week long The City Fringe will be held from 29 August to 14 September 2003 with events taking place in community centres, suburban villages, social hubs, arts and non-arts venues, universities, pubs, clubs, parks and streets.'
