BiographyHistory

Bruce Petty was an Australian cartoonist, filmmaker and illustrator. His works included studies of institutions and events through his cartoons, sculpture, script, assemblage, film and printmaking.

His short film, Leisure (an exploration of the history of work and leisure), won an Academy Award in 1977. He also created the documentary Global Haywire in 2006.
