After arriving in Western Australia from Asia, Isla Fisher was educated at Swinburne Primary School and Methodist Ladies College in Perth. At the completion of her schooling, she joined the cast of the TV soap opera Home and Away. She has appeared in numerous films and television series, including Bay Cove, Paradise Beach, Scooby-Doo, I Heart Huckabees, Wedding Crashers, Hot Rod, Definitely, Maybe, Confessions of a Shopaholic, Rango, Bachelorette, Rise of the Guardians, Arrested Development, The Great Gatsby, and Now You See Me.
Fisher published her first books, Bewitched and Seduced by Fame, when she was eighteen, with the assistance of her mother. She returned to writing in 2016, with Marge in Charge, the first in a series of children's books.
