BiographyHistory

It has not been possible to establish whether Mary Forrester was Australian. She has been included because (during the 1930s?) 'her novel The Gleam was on display during Australian Authors' Week, in Australia House, London, at an Exhibition held under the auspices of the Literature Society of Australia' (Murphy p. 65).

Notes

  • DA incorrectly attributes to this author An Introduction to Great Artists (Lond., 1965), which was in fact written by Elsie Mary Humphries under the pseudonym Mary Forrester.
