BiographyHistory

Postle also published The Plymouth Hoe : An Armada Tercentenary Ballad (1888), after she had returned to England. She is shown in the 1891 census as living in Norwich (England). Her first husband died in 1839 (she had children in the 1830s), then she married his brother soon afterwards. They spent time in Melbourne before returning to England, though when they arrived in Australia is unknown.

  • This author appears in List of Australian Writers (Arnold & Hay, 1995) with poetry attached to her. However, her one poetry book was published after she had returnd to England after a brief stay in Australia.
