BiographyHistory

A cousin of the wife of Ernest Telfer, author of Amongst Australian Aborigines (1939) Eustace Radford worked for several years for the Australian Aboriginal Mission in Western Australia. With Telfer he travelled to Derby (WA) from Perth in 1910, by steamer and then bicycle, working at Derby for six months as a volunteer before returning to Perth. He was Press Correspondent for the AAM for several years, challenging the Western Australian government to recognize its responsibility towards the education of Aboriginal children.After his marriage to Catherine Mansell, an AAM missionary, in 1912, he was involved with the Dulhi Gunyah orphanage at Victoria Park until 1914.
