'Other Places is a collection of travel stories drawn on journeys taken over a period of 25 years. Whilst these stories are based on actual events, the author has fictionalised freely. The author’s intention was to capture apparently insignificant moments which revealed as much about herself as the place she was visiting. The unnamed ‘I’ in these stories is the author as a ‘stranger’ who was changed through the revelation of foreign travel.'
