BiographyHistory

William Sabelberg was the son of German immigrant father and an Australian-born mother of Scots/Italian descent. In 1890 Sabelberg fell from the roof of a stable in St Kilda, Melbourne, and lost the use of his legs. Some years later he had not recovered from the injury.
