BiographyHistory

Writer, director and performer Rhondda Johnson grew up in Footscray. Johnson's working class family and the West Melbourne environment influenced her work. In the early 1970s she lived in Carlton where she became involved in the Pram Factory. She worked for community organisations, with single mothers and womens' refuges. All these experiences were reflected in her plays.
