BiographyHistory

black&write is a national project, and first of its kind in Australia, developed to foster a signification Indigenous writing community.

black&write! offers the black&write Indigenous Writing Fellowship  and editing internships. The project is designed to recruit, train and mentor Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander editors to develop Indigenous authored manuscripts.

The fellowships and mentorships are supported through kuril dhagun Indigenous Knowledge Centre, located at State Library of Queensland. kuril dhagun is part of the 21-strong network of Indigenous Knowledge Centres located in Cherbourg, Palm Island, Cape York and the Torres Strait.
