BiographyHistory

Gurindji man Mick Rangiari was elected to the National Aboriginal Consultative Committee. He is an original member of the Wattie Creek community and foreman of the Ubanangu Council.
In August 1966, Mick Rangiari was with Vincent Lingiari when he led a walk off by Aboriginal Pastoral Workers to improve working conditions at Wave hill. The strike gained momentum and became one of the most significant land rights campaigns in Australian history.
