BiographyHistory

Dr. Ross Ingram worked as a General Practitioner in Leeton, New South Wales. In 1983, Ross Ingram was named the Young Citizen of the Year for Leeton and in 1987 he received the National Aboriginal Day of Observance Committee (NAIDOC) Award for Aboriginal Youth of the Year. Ingram was the first Indigenous person from New South Wales to be accepted into the University of New Castle's Medical School. In honour of his achievements, the Australian Medical Association named the Ross Ingram Memorial Essay Award after him.
