BiographyHistory

Author of picture books, chapter books, and children's novels, including contemporary, fantasy, and non-fiction works.

Among Darlison's works are the series Little Witch (begun 2017), Unicorn Riders (begun 2011), and Totally Twins (2010). Her picture books often have a strong environmental theme and focus on native Australian fauna: she was shortlisted for the Wilderness Society's Environment Award for Children's Literature in 2012 (for Warambi) and won it in 2015 (for Our Class Tiger).

Darlison's stories have been published in the New South Wales School Magazine and in Little Ears. She has run workshops for children's writers and has been a reviewer with the Sun-Herald newspaper.
