BiographyHistory

Anne Ronberg was born to an Aboriginal mother and a Dutch father and spent her early life at the Jay Creek Aboriginal settlement, near Alice Springs. At about four years of age she was removed to St. Mary's Anglican Hostel, where she remained until age 16. After training as a mothercraft nurse in Victoria, Ronberg returned to the Northern Territory and worked in childcare centres. She has also worked as an Aboriginal Child Protection Advisor with the Department of Family and Children Services.
