BiographyHistory

'Lex Hall is a journalist and critic. He has worked at The Australian since 2007 where he has been an editor, reporter, Northern Territory correspondent and columnist. He has also worked as a translator and film critic. As well as The Australian, his writing has appeared in Meanjin, Filmink and The Australian Journal of French Studies. He was educated at Sydney Boys High and the University of NSW where he read French literature and international relations. As a French government scholarship holder he took an MA in French literature at the Universite de Nice, Sophia Antipolis. He's also a graduate in radio and broadcasting at the Australian Film Television & Radio School. Before entering journalism, he worked at Medecins Sans Frontieres. He has also, among other things, worked as an English teacher, garbageman, swimming instructor and barman. ' (Source: Author's website)
