BiographyHistory

Charles Ernest Carkeet became the proprietor and editor of The Cleveland Bay Express when he married Ann Bohm, widow of Henry Bohm, on 9 August 1874. On 23 August 1875, Carkeet and his wife sold the newspaper to A. J. Boyd.
