BiographyHistory

Heather Mieni was born at Brewarrina in April 1937 but grew up in Bourke. Her mother was Fanny Williams who came from Brewarrina and her father was Percival Hobson from Bourke. As her husband had jobs on stations, Mieni educated their children at home. Mieni's brother Percy Hobson was a gold medalist high jumper in the Empire Games in 1962.
