BiographyHistory

Born at Alice Downs Station, Eileen Bray was educated at Beagle Bay mission and is a well respected language teacher, translator and artist from the Warmun community. for many years Eileen has been involved with the Kija (Gija) Language program at the Ngalangangpum community school in Warmum. Bray's traditional country lies within Punululu, also know as the Bungle Bungles. She takes this country and it's Ngarrangkarni (Dreaming) stories as the subject of her work.
