In this column the author states that for the previous year she had written a column under the pen name Woggy Girl; now she would simply use the name 'Mujer' to focus on migrant experiences from a woman's perspective. This, and the author's subsequent columns in El Español en Australia, are titled 'Con ojos de mujer', which translates as 'With a woman's eyes'.
