An adaptation of Mark McShane's novel Seance on a Wet Afternoon.

Production Details

  • Commissioned by the Granada Theatre of Opera Santa Barbara and co-produced by Opera Queensland.

    Debuted at Granada Theatre of Opera Santa Barbara on 26 September 2009, directed by Scott Scwartz and with the following cast: Lauren Flanigan (Myra Foster), Kim Josephson (Bill Foster), Aaron Refvem (Arthur Foster), Hila Plitmann (Mrs Clayton), John Kimberling (Mr Clayton), Kelsey Lee Smith (Adriana Clayton), Craig Hart (Inspector Watts), Jane Shaulis (Mrs Wintry), Caroline Worra (Miss Rose), Michael Marcotte (Mr Bennett), Benjamin Brecher (Mr Cole), and Bray Wilkins (Policeman).

    Debuted in New York at the New York City Opera in April 2011.

    Due for production by Opera Queensland in 2012, before plans for the production were shelved.
