'World War II rages in the Pacific as the enemy thrust attempts to regain control of the Huon Peninsula … Amongst the day and night battles with roadblocks, intense skirmishes and moving sweeps of enemy soldiers, word spreads of a Digger who wears a leather mask, whose forearms bear the Australian Southern Cross, and who fights like nothing they’ve ever seen. He is “The Soldier”. The Soldier is born twice over in the pages of this first issue: within the jungle of New Guinea in the 1940s and in 2011 in the streets of suburban Brisbane. Both from different events, but both follow the one promise: to keep lives safe.'

'The Soldier finds himself on a personal mission to free a captured POW from execution by a brutal and maniacal Japanese 20th Division Lieutenant, an Executioner who believes he is a Samurai warrior. Things become complicated when The Soldier chooses to also rescue a Japanese soldier branded a traitor by his own army. But does he really want to be rescued from the Samurai’s blade? Meanwhile, the Soldier’s grandson begins his war on suburban street gangs with a passive stakeout operation. He takes some incriminating pictures of a night time stolen goods trade and passes the pics off anonymously to the local police. But when the trade goes bad and an innocent person gets in the line of fire, can the young Soldier stay quietly on the sideline?'

'The adventure continues as the Executioner’s commandos move through the jungle hunting The Soldier, the “Fuzzy Wuzzies” aiding the Aussie diggers and Keiji, the Japanese soldier branded a traitor. But is Keiji really betraying his country or merely standing up to his own beliefs against a power-crazy mad man? And does The Soldier really trust a man meant to be his enemy? Meanwhile, the quiet suburbs are about to get a whole lot louder as the gang war begins to erupt and new players are brought in with the young Soldier and the innocent woman stuck in the middle! Featuring amphibious tanks! Enemy Commandos! Juggalos and… wait!… a Nazi?!'

'The jungle ignites in this explosive chapter, as The Soldier finds himself in a showdown with enemy forces and their Amphibious Tank! Can The Soldier survive against an impossible destructive machine, or will he meet his downfall, not from the barrage of Tank ammunition, but from his own war-torn sanity? What part will Leonard the native Scout, Keiji, the Japanese soldier branded a “traitor” by his own forces, and the Nazi SS Officer play in The Soldier mission? Meanwhile, one Brisbane suburban street is about to erupt, as the Soldier’s grandson is about to discover he may be in over his head. Has following his Grandfather’s legacy been the right decision, or will the emerging gangs prove him wrong? Can he pull himself together? Will the gang leader’s girlfriend, the young ‘Soldier’s Instructor, and a slightly delusional “Superhero” wannabe, prove to be worthy allies, or will he be betrayed? Be prepared for the most action-packed issue yet!'

'Released November 2012, we ramp up towards the final act of the current story! As we learn a little bit more about ‘The Soldier Legacy’ itself, issue 5 begins where we left off: ‘The Soldier’ finds himself face to face with a Australian platoon, who declare him AWOL, and an enemy of his own country! How will ‘The Soldier’ continue his mission if he’s suppose to surrender? Meanwhile the Soldier’s Grandson, facing a street full of rioting Car Gang Members and Juggalos, tries to gain the courage to step up to the chaos he’s partly to blame for. Does his instructor Barry have the answer? Featuring Keiji, Leonard the New Guinea Scout, and the deadly arrival of an almost forgotten foe…Man!'
