— Appears in: Polish Kurier , July-August no. 112 1996; (p. 34)The column is a reply to a reader's letter published in the Polish Kurier no. 110-111, which called Gawroński's poem 'Baranie wybory' (Sheep Elections) (published in Kurier zachodni in 1991) 'offensive'. The author defends his poem as a piece of satire, and argues that the reader, Antoni Pol, misunderstands the genre. Gawroński affirms that his own attitude to satire will not change even if he is viewed by readers such as Pol as disloyal to his adopted homeland of Australia.
