'A nonfiction narrative about what it takes to be a hairdresser. This narrative is told through the eyes of a young girl who wants to grow up to be just like her role model, a hairdresser, whose job not only helps people look good but to feel better too. From providing a service for the elderly, to helping resolve children's nit problems, to supporting those going through chemotherapy, the role of a hairdresser is demonstrated as being both diverse and important within the local community. (Publication summary)
