AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'Solitude founds and fuels these poems. In Peopling The Dirt Patch, each poem traces a crisis of isolation out into the dearth of words, the deforestation of ideas, the die-back of things, conjuring masks for company, worrying a patch of earth for a time, never long, before retreating snailwise into the safety house of itself – to write. It’s a cycle only you, dear reader, can break.'
