Content Summary

  • Magazines: Mostly complete collections of the magazines published by the company, many in bound volumes, e.g. "New Idea"
  • Bound volumes from 1902 to the present, and also some supplements, such as "Baby Knitting" c1950s
  • Other magazines include "Better Homes and Gardens", "Who", "Practical Parenting", "Girlfriend", etc., 1902-present
  • Photographs, slides, negatives: B&W and colour, taken for the magazines
  • Also a large collection of publicity photos provided to the magazines, relating to films and television programs, 1950s-present
  • Clippings files: major articles from all the company’s magazines, particularly those focussing on Australian topics, 1970s-present
  • Miscellaneous files on various media topics, e.g. “Logie Awards”, including lists of awards and some printed programs of awards events

Comments

Pacific Magazines is the magazine publishing arm of the Seven Television Network, and produces some 28 magazines.
