Gail Merritt came to Australia from the UK, after living in the Middle East and Europe. Awarded her Diploma of Teaching in 1993 from Monash University, she has written and composed musicals for schools, won a couple of short story competitions, and had one act plays performed at drama festivals around Victoria.
