History
The Women's Library National Annual Short Story Competition was inaugurated in 1997. Winners were announced on International Women's Day the year following the call for competitors. The competition provided an outlet for women’s voices and gave writers an opportunity to have their work read more widely. (http://thewomenslibrary.org.au/twl-herstory/)
