History

The WARM Play of the Year was conducted during the inaugural Sunshine Coast WARM Festival. The festival was hosted by the Sunshine Coast Literary Association.  (Pine Rivers Press, 3 January 2007 and Noosa Journal, 20 September 2007)

Notes

  • 'For a play written by a writer / writers (or collectively by students, a writing or theatre group) normally residing on the Sunshine Coast or written while residing, studying or working on the Sunshine Coast. It could have already been performed, read, work-shopped or presented for performance. Or if not performed it should be prepared for performance. The organisers will arrange for selected shortlisted plays to be performed by a Sunshine Coast theatre group as a rehearsed play reading prior to final judging.' But, in the present age of uncertainty, fear, and terrorism, and in the context of West's response in a post 9/11-Bali bombing world, the equilibrium of his life is about to be turned on its head. A plot is uncovered to blow up trains in peak hour. The army is on the street. Simon will learn that who we know can affect our personal security.
