BiographyHistory

Noula Karathanasis was born in Moloha Voiou Kozanis, Greece and completed her elementary schooling at Neapolis. For financial and family reasons she was unable to study further and moved to Thessaloniki to work. From 1966 to 1974, in Australia, she worked as a machinist. Karathanasis began to write poetry in 1977. She has read at poetry nights organised by the Greek-Australian Cultural League.
