He made facsimile copies of a considerable number of ballads with an Australian reference, which are reproduced in this work and in the companion volume The Convict Maid (1985). Edwards published revised and enlarged editions of both works in 1988: the revised editions include musical settings of the ballads. Kuranda : Rams Skull Press , 1986 pg. 9
