AbstractHistoryArchive Description
Drawn from original speeches made by those who had the responsibility of choosing the site for the national capital, a melodrama emerges from the research and dramaturgy of Ian Warden. It will be performed by the Queanbeyan Players at St John’s Church and is sure to enlighten audiences about Canberra's early history. St John’s Church and the Schoolhouse were spoken of in the original speeches to Parliament and have both been part of the Canberra landscape since 1845.
