  • Author's note: Dirawong, Bunjil, Baiame - names of Spirit Ancestors from Dreamtime legends.
  • This poem was awarded The Australian Bush Poets' Association Australian Champion for 2012 and was also the recipient of 'The Silver Brumby' Award' announced at the Man From Snowy River Festival, Corryong, Victoria in March 2012.
