AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Freda is bored with life in the henhouse. She wants to see the world, and have adventures! So one day she sneaks away from her hen friends and power-walks to the creek. Freda soon finds that life outside the farmyard can be a challenge, but because she is such a gifted chook, such a thinking chook, she manages to get herself out of trouble. Even being lost isn't a concern for this confident, role-model hen! However, when Freda finds herself stuck up a windmill, with a huge feral cat lying in wait for her below, she realises that too much adventure can be a very bad thing. Apart from that, a windmill is not the place to lay an egg (Libraries Australia).
