AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'Jerry is a white horse. He is old, and very cranky. Martha is a little afraid of him because Jerry doesn't like to be stroked. But she loves Jerry, even if he doesn't love her back. In art at school she paints Jerry as a beautiful white horse, but when she is asked if the painting is of Jerry she is embarrassed and hides the painting under her desk. One night Martha dreams that Jerry has turned into a wonderful strong horse with wings, and next day she finds that Jerry has died. She takes her painting of the old horse and pins it to his tree. In the painting Jerry looks as though he is flying.' (Publisher's blurb)
