  • Mr H. Z. Taylour has been appointed in charge of the editorial arrangements of The Cairns Post. Mr Taylour formerly occupied a similar position with The Newcastle Herald.

A Silverton Yarn, single work short story humour
Two sketches about German Charlie, a Silverton local identity. In one he instructs a policeman on how to make rum. In the other he relates how he built a coffin and dug a grave for an ill patron. When the man failed to die Charlie charged him for the services.
