The protagonist, Helen, discovers that her liberal views are not readily shared by those around her and sits at the opposite end of the spectrum to her best friend, Elizabeth, who has chosen to settle down and get married. Exploring the still divisive issues of sexuality, promiscuity and monogamy, Tell Them That It Rained too Hard presents an unflinchingly polemic view of how today's society is driven by and denies these contentious issues.'
