  • Illustrations: Photograph of Patterson at about the time 'Waltzing Matilida' was written; letter written by Paterson which establishes he was in Sydney before Christmas, 1895; the cover of Saltbush Bill, in which Paterson first published 'Waltzing Matilda' as his own work in 1917; and a photograph of Paterson in his later years.
