Three men travelling in North Australia are looking for land and are dying of thirst when they come across three young men. The young men take them to water and then to their home to feed them, then begin to tell their story of settling on this land.

Notes

  • This was the third of a number of adventure stories for children ('Australian westerns'), involving bush settings and depictions of Aboriginal people, which 'Bulloo' wrote for The Queenslander in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
