'Max Lamm, a young Australian tennis player, arrives in London to escape the internet sex scandal that has destroyed his burgeoning career. Then one night, in Camden Town, he accidentally kills a fifteen-year-old Pakistani boy who tries to mug him and finds himself on the run once again.
'London's East End erupts into street protests about the 'racially motivated murder' and Max finds refuge with Kelly, the spoiled daughter of a powerful US senator. Kelly is privileged and beautiful and also on the run, from Washington and her conservative father's attempts to reform her party-girl lifestyle.
'I am Max Lamm is a darkly humorous exploration of family loyalty, disgrace and collective hysteria in the age of terror' (Publisher's blurb)
