AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'From the diary of an Australian wife and mother resident in the city of Sydney.' (appears under title)

Notes

  • Written in the form of a personal journal, the diary comprises 'extracts' which recount details of social events including the attendance at a ball where likely suitors were regarded as marriage prospects for the diarist's daughters. Although presented as an edited dairy, this appears to be a fictional work written by Ethel Anderson.
