This, the twentieth in a series on pioneers and explorers, tells of Edward Hammond Hargraves who discovered gold at Bathurst and made his discovery known to the government of New South Wales. This is a sketch of his life, of the goldfields, and also tells of the discovery of the Welcome Stranger, Blanche Barkly, Viscount Canterbury and Poseiden nuggets; the largest found in Australia.
