AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Jonathon Snow is an apprentice in a barley-curling factory, but is sacked for curling the barley to the left instead of to the right. A whaling captain knocks him out and takes him aboard his whaling ship, but Jonathon sinks the ship when he starts throwing two whales at a time onto the deck. He ends up cast away on an island where he survives chopping off his leg and various other adventures, before finishing his days selling bootlaces in a pub.
